I began to think about how we can try to meet kids where they are, rather than always expecting them to fit our design. Some of it I see daily and have picked up from being in the classroom for a long time, others, because I teach math only, I do not often see. Some of the social justice issues and, work with complex texts (especially non fiction) are interesting.
