Question 1- Is it hard to get up and go to PT in the mornings?

“Since I am a part of the track team I don’t have to go for morning PT, but some of the other guys that I know usually pick the same days to go so that they can hold each other accountable.”

Question 2- Do you ever have difficulty balancing your military studies and your major?

“Everyone that is in the program must take special military science classes to get them ready for service, so it's not like your ever alone. The major that I picked aligns pretty well with the military science classes, so I don’t find the balance to be too hard to maintain.”

Question 3- Do you ever feel as though there aren’t enough hours in the day?

“Definitely! Doing RTOC, running track year-round, and working is more than a full plate. Don’t try to pack too much into your schedule otherwise, you’ll always be stressed out. Remember to enjoy your college experience.

Question 4- Any tips for doing well in ROTC?

“Make sure that you have a good relationship with your col. and staff they will be your lifeline. Also, when it comes time to pick people to go on special trips such as foreign studies you stand a better chance.”

Question 5- Any other advice for freshmen year of college?

“Don’t room with your friends. I know you’ve probably heard this all before but seriously, don’t do it. I had to learn the hard way. Also stay organized and get to know your professors, you’ll be gone sometimes for ROTC so you need to be good at communicating with professors, so you don’t fall behind.”
