I chose this program because I have always been interested in being an educator, as it can have an incredible impact on children’s lives. I always wanted to study child development, their upbringing, and the ways to support their mental health. The early childhood education program has provided me with theoretical knowledge and hands-on learning experience to become an educator. I always wanted to be.

During my college program, I completed placements in various settings, including a preschool classroom under a licensed childcare, a kindergarten room with a school board, and a family center for ages 0 to 6. These experiences have given me a chance to develop different observations, skills, and plans to work closely with children.

Moving ahead, I am excited to complete my final semester and step into the field as a registered early childhood educator. I will keep my learning journey continued through different workshops and learning webinars. I have gained valuable skills in planning meaningful activities that support learning, observing and documenting children’s learning, and creating a warm and welcoming environment in the classroom.This would allow me to become experienced and better at advocating for the well-being of children and the community.

Through these assignments, I’ve learned about planning and facilitating different activities that are developmentally appropriate and support learning for young children. These artifacts have helped me connect my theoretical learning with my field experiences. I have learned to create fun, meaningful and developmentally appropriate activities that support learning through various developmental domains. Each one of these assignments is unique and reflects overall on the overall values of the course.

These three artefacts have helped me understand the important role that educators play in building, strong and interesting relationship with children and families. In the family interview assignment, I got the opportunity to communicate with her family closely and understand the way our families live, their culture, their values and their environment. These artifacts represent how I’ve been learning and growing in the field of early childhood education alongside my college curriculum. These training certificates show my growth and learning in the field.

The training certificate that I have finished is with the TVDSB school board. Emergencies privacy and have to keep everyone safe and supported. The learning certificate with strive about Community of Practice invites early years professionals working with preschool children (ages 2.5–4) to come together and engage in meaningful conversations about the joys and challenges of supporting transitions, fostering independence, and preparing children for school. Participants will reflect collaboratively, share ideas, experiences, and resources, and support one another through open dialogue. Topics may include curriculum planning, communication with families, the learning environment, and building strong relationships. This ongoing conversation creates a space for educators to learn from each other and strengthen their practices through shared reflection and professional connection.
