Multiculturalism is a characteristic of a society that has many different ethnic or national cultures coexisting freely. The main idea of this characteristic is that all cultural practices, no matter how unusual, should be tolerated as a measure of respect. This means that in one community, people with different cultures, traditions, lifestyles, values or ethics than us must be respected.

B1-What I feel that contributes a lot to our negative reactions and biases is the social behaviour among students. During the period of time that kids hang out at the school, it provides them to socialize with very different types of people with also very different opinions. Sometimes biases start in this environment with influence by other kids. What this means is that some people can have their own opinions and believes but at some point, is encouraged to follow their peers by agreeing and saying things that they initially didn´t believe and also changing their attitudes or values in order to conform to those of the influencing group or individual.

I believe that everyone should have their own believes and opinions and should not change them just to please someone. On the other hand, I consider that biases towards other people´s religions or races should not happen at all specially at schools when there´s diversity. Kids should be able to feel free and confident about their origins without being judged.

D3- A lot of people with disabilities suffer from rejection by their society and there´s a lot of prejudice regarding these people. These biases may often occur by the education that some people get from
their own parents. Sometimes is not even about the education that people get from their own homes, it´s about the difference in between them in terms of what each one is capable of to do. People with disabilities in most cases are restricted physically or intellectually and that´s something that can cause prejudice because some people feel that they´re superior or more intelligent than the people with disabilities.

E4- We can conclude that we are all different. However, we should be able to respect and tolerate the significant others. We have to be equal socially and mentally in order to support and embrace the diversity. Since we´re students we observe rude attitudes towards the ones who are different. In these cases, we should alert and help them. With this project we were able to understand each other’s points of view, but at the end we have the same thoughts. That is, equality and respect.
