Starting off to learn more about how Minecraft can even be used in lessons, I found this video on Youtube explaining all the ways it can be used educationally, both in math and in other lessons. Around 1:57 he starts throwing out ways, one of them including probability in Minecraft. I think this video is just a good start for brain storming to get some ideas out there since we all said we weren't sure how we were going to relate this to math. There's a lot of other articles about it on google so I recommend checking it out just to get us started and thinking! Here's the link to the YouTube video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=RI0BN5AWOe8#!

After reading everyone's articles here, I was thinking it would be a good idea if we tried to picked what type of math we want to focus on for our project. Do we want to keep it more simple like multiplication and division or throw in things like probability as well? I saw division mentioned in two of the articles that you guys shared but I'm open to anything. The rubric says we have exactly 10 minutes for our presentation so I think we should consider that while picking what to focus on. I also babysit some kids who have Minecraft books so I'll see if I can borrow those from them so we can look through them because downloading it on the computer costs money.
