The root causes of this problem are freedom, poverty, war, fighting, they want a new start, education, terrorists/gangs, government/laws. But the main reason that they cross illegally is because the government won't let them cross. If the government won't let them cross then they have a choice to either go back to Mexico and face the thing they are running from, or they can cross the border illegally. It makes the community more diverse school, work, and housing wise. It also affects the community that the immigrants are running from. Their culture gets weaker and whatever they are running from takes over they area they left. It also takes away the diversity from the area they are running from. The first reason is because if America won't let the immigrants in then the immigrants are going to have to go somewhere else and into other countries. But the second reason the world should be concerned about this issue is because country that is having the immigrants leave (in this case Mexico) they are loosing alot of their population and that country will become overwhelmed and taken over by the things that are making the immigrants leave. Such as terrorists, gangs, freedom, and education. The first thing is that when the border patrols find people trying to cross the border illegally then the detain then for a certain amount of time and see if the are going to be aloud to stay in America or not. A good thing some people are doing is that they are protesting to have people come and be able to stay in America. We have interviewed what or who they are running from, where they came from, and what they are planning to do if they are able to get to the United States. But the one group that we have not interviewed are the kids. We where lucky enough to find a mother who would let us interview her kid. Her name is Isabella. These are a few words of what Isabella has been through going throughout this whole process of getting here. “ We are running from fighting in my neighborhood, and we got here by walking through the desserts for 3 days and we came with a bunch of other people to.” Thank you so much Isabella for telling us about that.
