Chicken Pox signs are in 3 stages. The first stage is if you can notice small spots appear, these spots can appear anywhere on the body, they look red or pink and they may spread or stay in the same area. The second stage is that the spots will start to look like blisters and they can be very itchy and could potentially burst. Finally the last stage is when the blisters start to become into scabs, they can either be flaky or they could leak fluid out.
The symptoms will be a high temperature, loss of appetite and aches and pains.

D5- Describe the processes for reporting notifiable diseases, injury and fatality

As soon as a child in a setting has got injured for example if a child ran into a pole and fell down unconscious, the first thing any practitioner should do is shout for help this way there is still a practitioner at the incident. If a practitioner got help by finding another practitioner then that is unsafe as the first practitioner moved away from the incident. Next one of the practitioners must get a staff who does first aid unless the one's at the incident can do it. If the child is still unconscious a practitioner should do CPR on the child, if that doesn't work a staff member should call an ambulance. When they call the ambulance, the staff member should call the child (who is in the incident) parents/carers as soon as they can. A report must be sent to Ofsted, the practitioners must always follow the policy's in procedures in their setting, always inform the manager of th setting and the local health protection agency should be notified.

Some forms would need to filled out such as an accident form (so they know which child get injured, the time, date and where they got injured), treatment record form (if any treatment got used it should all be wrote down the the time and date and who gave it to the child), medication record form (If any medication got taken it must be recored with the date, time, who gave it to the child, how much the child has had and the name of the child), parent-administered form (the parents/carers have to complete and sign the form so they can authorize medication administration for their child), Existing injury from (this is so pactitioners know if the child has any injuries before and the date it happened otherwise if a child came in it will be signs of physical abuse and all the other abuses) and a register of attendance form (this is so practitioners know why children are not in class if they have got sent home also it is important to know who picks up the child).
