         <description><![CDATA[<div>Information is forgotten: 56% in an hour, 66% after a day, 75% after 6 days if the information is not reinforced or connections are not made to prior knowledge. When neurons are frequently fired, synaptic connections are strengthened. Repeatedly accessing a stored memory encodes it more deeply. A memory becomes stronger when more connections neurons make with other neurons. When teachers something new, a new synaptic connection is made. To help them retain that learning, as many connections as possible need to be made (typically to other concepts), and it needs to be accessed repeatedly over time. Some methods that can be used are peer-to-peer explanations, the spacing effect, frequent practice tests, interleave concepts, and combine text with images.</div>]]></description>
