The sharings are rich with lots of variety and the collaboration are insightful and I learnt much and can mentally prepare of ways to use for our students.

I especially enjoyed the tongue twisters, role play, visuals, music and singing , and the drawing to remember certain rules., and the air writing, encouraging students to think and prompt them of the words that have same sounds.

I have previously also experienced a little bit of phonics and I learned from my lbs colleague how to teach c and g. Today I got to witness different groups’ presentations, some use songs, poems, role plays, some used props to demonstrate how to learn the letter sound. All of the groups has their own uniqueness or special traits in presentations. There is one group that touches on teaching phonics to secondary level which is also interesting because like what my peers who presented phonics for the secondary school level, they mentioned for secondary school students , we have to modify our ways of teaching to suit the learning style for their level. I throughly enjoyed and learnt so many things from my group mates and yes, we are here to learn from one another without walls blocking from us. Today I learnt that it could be taught with the use of props, songs, worksheets, PowerPoint and traditional white board. Depending on the age of the children, go down to basics such as playing the sound the animal makes and let the child identify the animal name. From there, introduce the letter and word. Teach the sound of the phonogram through repetition, use of pictures and word cards. Thank you everyone for the wonderful sharing. The mini lessons gave me an idea of the different ways I can teach the phonograms from using sensorial things like felt taped on the letter, sky writing, sounds of animals to pictures first. This is followed by rehearsal of the sounds and different ways to remember it based on prior knowledge of for example when you go to the library have be quiet shh. Many creative ways to teach the sounds even when it was the same digraphs for certain teams the perspective were different. Finally, I learned that it is important to get the sounds right as the first time it is introduced it will stick and it is difficult to undo. Using technology, voice recordings, explanations and ways to remember the spelling rules makes a lesson engaging and fun! But of course, lessons has to be suited to the age groups. Songs and rhymes would be suited for the younger student groups. 
One thing that I took note of:
