In my photoshoot, I will focus on my friend, Arman Sharif.

Theme/concept

Arman is an athletic person and loves playing sports. In playing sports, he has strengthened his confidence in himself. In my portraits, I want to show this confidence of Arman by dramatizing his boldness. I want Arman to look as if he feels so confident that he owns everything.

I want to address my series of portraits to my friends, who have always seen Arman as a shyer person. I would like my friends to see Arman in a new light, as confident and bold.

The eye-level camera shot creates a connection between the subject and the audience, however, in this image the eye-level shot along with the expression of the subject makes the audience feel judged. The chaotic background contrasts the subject's calmness. Overall, the features of the picture show a confident subject who seems to think higher of himself than anyone else.

The camera is lower and pointing up making the subject bigger and seem more confident. The darker lighting creates these highly contrasting shadows that represent the journey that the subject had to go through to be at this point.

This is my final and favorite picture. The pose combined with the features makes the subject seem "on top of the world". The camera angle low down combines with the enlarging pose to make the subject seem big and intimidating. The F-stop is higher helping the audience see the background which are the lunch tables. Overall, this picture makes Arman seem as if he doesn't care about the rules, or stepping on the tables.
