My primary research interest is the impact of environmental changes on tropical infectious diseases, particularly mosquito-borne diseases.  In the last two years, I've also been involved in COVID-19 epi and clinical trial research. I'm interested in the practical applications of mathematical modeling to answer public health questions in a rapidly changing environment. I'm excited to learn practical skills in building and evaluating mathematical models and to meet this like-minded group of people!</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Hi all, you'll see me running some sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday morning as well as demonstrating across the first three days of the course.<br><br>I've been doing mathematical models of disease on and off since my undergrad in Australia. Most recently I've been helping out with LSHTM's COVID response and pre-vaccination testing for Dengvaxia to try to prevent instances of severe disease after first infection.<br><br>My PhD and postdoc work was on spatio-temporal models of both indoor and outdoor air pollution and its health impact, within-host dynamics of dengue, and citizen science projects on reef, jaguar and koala conservation.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I live in the UK and work as a health economist for a non-profit organisation, developing cost-effectiveness and budget-impact models for use in decision-making. I have a background in mathematics, with the focus of my PhD thesis on the development of <em>de novo</em> mathematical models to describe chondral (cartilage) and osteochondral (cartilage and bone) knee defect regeneration by use of reaction-diffusion modelling. I first became interested in mathematical biology through my undergraduate studies in infectious disease modelling, so am keen to pick back up where I left off and learn how to programme infectious disease models in R.<br><br></div>]]></description>
