There are loads of reasons why each individual child may require a specific diet. An adult would need to support these needs for the child some of these needs could be:
An allergy- provide a meal which doesn't contain the allergy the child may have, for example, if it was a nut allergy then the adult must make sure there is no trace of nuts in what the child is going to eat.
An intolerance- if the child is lactose intolerant, the setting will give the child something other than milk to drink such as; soy milk or water.
A religious or ethnical reason- the setting would ask the parents what the child can and cannot eat so that they know what to give to the child.
A medical reason,
A pescetarianism- the adult would make sure the child doesn't eat fish or products which contain fish so the child diet isn't changed.
Type 1 or type 2 diabetes.
The reasons above would mean if a child required a different meal plan to suit their needs for example if a setting was going to give the child a different meal to the others to suit their needs then the setting would have to keep an eye on the child who has to eat differently so that the child doesn't come into contact with the food.
