This technology also poses potential risks and challenges, such as the development of herbicide-resistant "superweeds," adverse effects on biodiversity through cross-pollination, and socioeconomic issues related to corporate dominance of the seed supply. Although regulatory bodies such as the FDA have found existing approved GMOs to be safe for human consumption, a number of health and environmental issues persist that are contentious and highlight the importance of continuous research and cautious weighing of long-term ecological and health consequences.

They can affect the environment by mixing with non-GMO plants and reducing biodiversity. There are also concerns about possible health effects and farmers’ dependence on large seed companies. Lastly, some people question the ethics of altering nature. Overall, GMOs can help address food and climate problems, but they must be used responsibly and carefully regulated.

:Advantages of using GMOs:

•Enhanced Nutritional Content, GMOs can be modified to contain higher levels of essential nutrients, such as vitamins and minerals, potentially benefiting people in developing countries who suffer from malnutrition. Golden rice, for example, is genetically modified to produce beta-carotene, which the body converts to vitamin A.

•A Longer Shelf Life, GMOs can be designed to slow down the ripening process, resulting in longer-lasting produce. This makes it easier to transport food over long distances and reduces food waste .

:And the potential risks of using GMOs:

•Economic Implications, GMO seeds are typically more expensive than traditional seeds, which can put a financial strain on small farmers. Plus, the patenting of GMO crops by large companies can lead to the monopolization of the agriculture industry.

•Cross-Contamination, There is a risk of cross-contamination between GMO and non-GMO crops, which can lead to the unwanted spread of genetically modified traits. This makes it difficult for farmers to maintain non-GMO or organic crops .

This helps in mass produce in a short amount of time, without harming the crops itself. It also aims to strengthen the survival of an organism, making them able to sustain for a long time; however, GMO sometimes fail. It could lead to abnormalities of the subject. The outcome might not be what one expects and could harm the organism and other organism within its reach.

Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO) have made a massive change to the environment, widely applied in different fields such as medicine, industrial manufacturing, agriculture and especially — in food production.

Advantages often found in the agricultural field where it helped crops and other kinds of plants to grow resistant towards pests but remaining safe for humans to consume. As years fly by, plenty of GMOs have been made with their benefits like enhancing nutritional contents in food, helping plants survive droughts, and reducing the usage of chemicals.

Well, despite the countless advantages it has contributed in different fields and to the environment, debates have always existed due to doubts and fear of the possible danger it holds. One example of it is when the GMOs has allergens in it, causing a potential risks to few people — the dependency of it increases as the years go by, people consume more than what it used to today. Raises health issues and might not only affect human beings.

These realizations will put words into mind on using it safely and responsibly, as the advantages may sound great, but the potential risks are hard to face especially when it doesn't affect you.

Genetically Modified Organisms increases crop yields, pest resistance that lowers the need for pesticides, improved nutritional value (such as Golden Rice with vitamin A), drought tolerance, and longer shelf life are just a few benefits of genetically modified organisms (GMOs). These benefits work together to combat malnutrition, advance sustainability, and lower food costs. However, there are still potential risks, such as worries about allergenicity, herbicide resistance leading to increased chemical use, environmental impacts on non-target species like bees, and ongoing debates about long-term health effects.

The advantages of GMO or genetically modified organisms are useful and may be of help in different ways, mostly seen in areas of agriculture and human health. It can greatly alter DNAs to make genes or cells be able to function more than it was originally designed to. With this we are able to alter different plant cells to produce a different hybrid of plants, survive harsh climates and longevity, and specific toxins to counter insects that destroys the plants. Not only that, but with the use of GMOs we can create antibodies or medicines to treat sicknesses. But with great power comes great responsibilities, everything comes with risks, since GMOs are modified cells it is also true that there are risks in altering cells, it may cause cells to be corrupted or not function well— causing health related issues to our organisms, another potential risk is the lessening of our biodiversity, if we are too dependent on the altering of genes, we might loose our natural biodiversity.

Genetically modifying organisms by splicing desired genes into a base organism or in other words producing GMO's has proven to be an advantageous practice. First and foremost, since you are modifying an organism by splicing DNA, you can practically omit the disadvantages of said organism. In a practical situation like agriculture, you could modify one of your plants to increase its yield, enhance its resistance to pests, diseases, drought, and climate conditions, reduce the use of chemicals, and much more. This, coupled with the fact that although GMO's or the creation of GMO's is not a natural process, you are still only just modifying a natural organism by combining its DNA with another natural organism, with it being "natural" it also helps in reducing the use of chemicals in agriculture.

However, despite these benefits, GMO's have their own downsides, mainly regarding health concerns and environmental impacts. Some people worry about the long-term health effects of consuming GMO's and although scientific e vidence so far shows that they are generally safe, it remains a concern among the public. GMO's can also harm non-target species such as beneficial insects which may lead to reduced biodiversity. Additionally cross-pollination between GMO and non-GMO plants can unintentionally spread modified genes to wild plants.

All in all GMO's are highly beneficial to the population, but they must be properly handled, especially in the case of its interaction with unmodified organisms, and concerns about their effects on the populace have to be addressed.

-The advantage of GMOs it allows us to restore or reintroduce organisms niches that the environment desperately needs and cause of that old previous organism no longer being their. This can benefit massively in our human lives and the things we created in it like agriculture allowing us to respond to pressure by creating a solution that will impact the environment massively in a good way Aswell non human lives and globally.

-The Risk of GMOs is that its dangerous when it isn’t engineered correctly. The other is when its not use correctly causing more harm then good like GMOs engineered wildlife can be a potential hazard to its environment such as overtaking organisms niches, damage the environments habitats, can overhunt other organisms that weren’t evolved to prepare for it. This effects our lifes by that GMOs changing the environment and reducing our resources and organisms and be potentially a threat to is environment when its not managed properly.
