Definition:

When there are barely no trees in a certain area

It affects the water cycle as the rain can't be

transpirated as quick as it would be as if it was

on/in a tree and flooding may occur! :)

Deforestation is when forest are cut down to either make more space, for houses/ urbanization or farms, or for natural resources, like palm oil, soy or wood.

Deforestation is when people clear a whole lot of the earth’s forests on a big scale. Forest cover about 30% of the earth and we lose plenty of that each year due to forestation. Forests are cut down for many reasons but the main reason is for more money. Farmers do it to grow more crops and to have more room for animals.

Trees help perpetrate the water cycle by returning water vapour back into the atmosphere. Without trees to fill these rolls, farmer’s lands can quickly become barren desserts.
