You could of guest but he invented things for farmers. He first helped by making a new plow for New England farmers who's soil was to heavy. By 1841 John Deere produced 100 of his special plows annually.  In 1843 he entered into a partnership with Leonard Andrus.

He is best known for being the engineer who invented the steel refining process. In 1879 he was Knighted. Following his fathers foot steps Bessemer became an engineer. Bessemer used his secret method to secure a lot of brass for his business of "gold" powder which was needed in paints.

His is known for being the first person to drill an oil well. When he was young he worked in a hotel as a dry foods clerk. He also used to be a conductor but retired do to health issues. He then started working in the oil industry
going by Colonel Drake. This has been the life of Edwin Drake.

Rockefeller was born July 8 1839. He also founded the Rockefeller Oil company. John D. Rockefeller was also the first great business trust. In the 1860's Rockefeller found his first oil refinery. Within two years he owned the largest refinery in Cleveland.

Christopher Sholes was born February 14, 1819. He is best known for inventing the typewriter. After completing his schooling he took an apprenticeship for a newspaper. Four years later he moved to Wisconsin.  He was mostly an editor until  he was hired by Lincoln as a collector.
