Yes, most of CPUs can do it too? but it does it slower and worser? because it should do oter tasks at the same time.
So if you want to game, work wiht graphic or 3d you must have one.

Before choosing your PSU I hardly recomend to use psu calculators to anderstend how much power your buid will draw.
