Being a realistic thinker helps you know more about yourself because you don't come up with fake facts about yourself (or stretch the truth about yourself). In D.O.A.S, Willy didn't have self-knowledge because he always exaggerated the truth, and his lack of self-knowledge altered his sense of reality. Also, being observational can give you a deeper understanding of yourself because you know why you're doing something. For example, if you know you're eating too much, being observational can help you learn that the reason could be because you binge eat.

In Death of a Salesman, it was mainly Willy's perception of his life. It can be said that the Loman family was very common and ordinary. They were middle class financially, having their own house and car. Willy Loman was a man who wanted much more than that. He wanted to be known, respected and most importantly generate lots of wealth in the family. It was something he chased for all of his life and started lying to himself along the way. For example, in Death of a Salesman, Biff discovers his fathers infedelity and lets it ruin his life. After finding out that his father isnt as great as he thought, he skips summer school and flunks highschool, ultimately ruining his chances at making something of himself. Although Biff was upset and could say Willy was at fault for his unhappiness for a period of time after he discovered the infidelity, he can't say Willy ruined his chances at making something of himself because in the end, skipping the one course he needed to complete highschool was ultimately his choice.

Sometimes losing a loved one can stop us to move forward in life, or having a mental illness can bring us down to a tragic fall. In life, things happen unexpectedly. Some are the best things and some are the worse, and sometimes these things give us a reason to fall. In Death of a Salesman, Willy Loman was a tragic hero. He had many flaws, but the main flaw was his thinking. He was always involved in his own dreams, that he ignored other's point of view. He lived an ordinary normal life, with a family who cares about him, having a residence and a car. Although, his belief was that popularity and status leads to success. He always wanted more (greedy). This lead to him being dishonest to his wife, lying all the time, and eventually it brought him down to a tragic fall. Not only situations make us face such tragic falls but a person's own attitude can do the same. In this story, it was Willy's arrogance that brought him down.

It is unneeded in society with no one wanting to here it, except yourself. This is where your right to free speech ends. Another is when you outright speak against another race, ethnicity or religion. Hold your hate speeches in a damn basement.

To what extent are we responsible for the lives and happiness of others? https://padlet.com/mnortmann/dtpb1r8rpmco/wish/195582874 Everyone is responsible for their own life because they have the ultimate power of decision making. The decisions you make, most of the time shape and determine what kind of life you live and sometimes your happiness. We believe that we as people still have some relations with the life of others around us making us partially responsible. For example if you know a person is attending a certain event or area know to be dangerous or unsafe, advising them against, or warning them could save their life. At the end of the day, they have the final decision. Sometimes you can make all the right decisions in life but it can still give you "lemons". We as a group think that if you are aware of someone in your life who is going through a rough time  or having a bad day, especially a friend, it is your duty to do your part in helping them out, we see the importance of treating others the way you would like to be treated.
