I learned something new everyday and most of the things I learned I left with a better understanding of teachers and all the things that make a school
- I would recommend this class to anyone, I was constantly engaged and felt comfortable enough to ask questions and engage with my peers. I was also able to enhance my writing skills, because of the detailed feedback from Dr. Harris I feel confident to write more papers!!

One thing I was surprised at was the Leandro case, I have never really heard of it before. It is surprising it has been going on for twenty-five years.
2. I never thought about the difference purposes in schooling in depth before such as intellectual, economic, social, and civic. I learned that I mostly felt like it was a combination of intellectual and social. Schools teach students what they need to know about subjects and give them an opportunity to socialize and understand societal rules. I can also understand the civic and economic purposes as schools should prepare students for after graduation.
