He contemplates the differing mentalities of the two nations, with Canada possessing almost the same number of guns,  but experiencing a fraction of the gun violence of America. In addition, Moore also contrasts the culture of fear in the US to the friendly, open nature of society in Canada.

- Moore plays non-diegetic carnival themed music during his introductory narration, describing the Canadian public, juxtaposing the sense of friendliness prominent in Canadian society to the fear mongering mentality of Americans.

- Michael Moore shows a montage of Canadian citizens using guns in common situations, attempting to liken the Canadian use of firearms to the typical American perspective. It is through this that Moore attempts to bring further emphasis on the differing mentality between Canadians and Americans.

- Moore uses a comical snippet from a Canadian news network about speed bumps, heavily contrasted to the fear mongering present in American media.

- Jovial interaction with African-American man at the fair in Canada,  depiction contrasts to the common imagery used in American media. He may have been attempting to distort the true sentiment of the Canadian public to further suit his agenda on America's unique gun violence issues, by portraying Canadians as more friendly and less fearful of crime.

- Although he may have attempted to morph the true representation of the Canadian mentality, Moore draws fair conclusions based on a fairly large consensus amongst the general public.
