With the wrapping paper i cut out some snowflakes templates and sponged paint through, however i found that didn't work so well as the paint ran and it was messy. For the bags i again cut out some snowflakes and drew through the gaps with metallic sharpies to give it a shiny affect then later on added some lines to the snowflakes and stick on diamond/jewels to make it more snowflake like. For the gift tags i once again used a small snowflake template and drew in the gaps with a white paint pen and added in the diamonds/jewels again.
Did you produce the designs you wanted?:
With the wrapping paper i was not happy as it did not come out the way i wanted it to and the paint just ran and smudged, however with the bags and gift tags i am very pleased as they came out perfect and there was no mistakes.
Are you happy with the results?:
I am very happy with my end results, i could of made the tags better by adding more but i am still pleased with them and the bags are amazing which i am proud of.
What could of been improved?:
I could of added more designs onto my bags and tags to make them look a bit better and i also could of give the wrapping paper another shot but maybe used a different media to create it.
What did you enjoy about the project?:
Well i love Christmas anyway so when we were told we were doing a Christmas project i was very happy, but i loved being able to use my snowflake templates to create my products for this project as it is something i like to to and it is not hard at all, i also liked how my final products turned out and i hope other people like them too.
What didn't you like about the project?:
As much as i like doing the work for this project it can take a long time to create it and we didn't really have long left to finish them, so i had to work fast even though that could potentially make my work look messy and rushed, however i got there in time and they look good and ready.
What skills did you improve during the project?:
I think i improved my accuracy with my drawing and stenciling as i do not have a steady hand which can be hard sometimes as it can make my work look messy but i knew this project was important and had to be professional as they may be sold in a shop so i tried my best to make them all look neat, i was also patient with myself as i know i can get myself frustrated.
How could you take these skills into your own work?:
These skills could help me with other work as i know i can be steady so all my other pieces
can be nice and neat without having some of it look messy, i can also stop myself from getting frustrated with my work and know if i do get a bit hot-headed them i can calm down and just look at what iv'e already done and carry on nicely.
