I live in a very small town, despite it’s size there are several businesses ranging from pizza places to a small supermarket. It’s a hard place to thrive with many places being closed down. One place that is thriving though is the tiny cafe. It’s tiny yet is always busy. Though there is no parking it’s quite often so booked up you can’t even have a small drink. I feel the surge of customers is to do with the size, it’s small so it feels homely, the staff are welcoming and it’s the perfect place to meet with friends. The cafe is packed with character from posters featuring cute quotes, a bookcase you can help yourself too and a really unique and unusual array of foods. You can have any tea and food is presented as a restaurant standard. They have an active presence on social media presenting cakes just made and have guitarists playing. Even pets are catered for with a bowl of dog biscuits. They could have found it hard to thrive in such a small place where any business faces competition but I feel the character, the homeliness of it and decor all work to encourage customers.
They focused on character, customer service, creating events such as a bookclub and providing unique food.
