New characters are The Preist, The zhouse Mother, Ma'een'gun, Mishomis, Nanobozho, "Plump Woman" (Lunch Lady). All the residential children slept in one big room on lumpy matresses and made fun of the main character who was the new kid (Red Wolf). I think this book is a good book and very sad.

This book is getting more interesting every chapter I read some new characters ive read about are Lily, Captian Blackwood, Proffessor Megan, General StoneWood and the shadow assasian they are all very cool characters who make up the book and I really enjoy reading this book it is very interesting.

In, this chapter (chapter 10) the story goes back to the begining. Crooked Ear (the wolf) was waiting to return but he never did only his dad did. I wonder when Red Wolf does eventually come back if Crooked Ear still remembers him.

In this chapter so far the Governer comes to the school and has a little chat with the staff at the residential school. He was asking what happens to the kids when they get to old. I wonder when the kids get too old they go back home, or they make a residential school for high school.

Chapter 13-17 Its become past the end of June and Red Wolf was let leave the residential school for 2 months in the 2 months his dad barely recognizes him because he forgot most of his native language and Turtle 298 died. New characters from these chapters are The Farm Manager, Great Spirit Wolf, Henry, Master Evans, The Young Nurse.

after turtle died Red Wolf become alone and he hated school

Red Wolf was just having a normal day untill he saw the gate open and a old guy trying to help him escape from the Residential school. The old guy got him, but could only go a few miles before he had to drop him off. I wonder if Red Wolf gets back to the reserve safely or the Residential school catches him. But even if he does make it safely back to the reserve with his family, his family might get scared and send him back to the school.

Chapter 23-27. Red wolf graduated from residential school and when he came back his home was replaced with farm land and tree landmarks were gone. Father Thomas suggested Red Wolf to get a job so he went to try to go get one. He finally got a job as a horse watcher, He grew a big connection with the horse but the farm was being sold and so was the horse but then Red Wolf offers to buy the horse instead but he doesn't have enough so he offers to sell himself with the horse so he wont be apart from it. In my opinion selling yourself to be with a horse is kinda odd.

George graduated out of his school and had to get a job. Then eventually he went home to see his mother who was drinking a lot of alcohol and depressed. Then after they catched up George realized that his grandma was still alive somewhere and went looking for her. That's when the book ends.

George was searching for his grandmother in the woods and than wolf just attacked him.George went to the hospital because the mystery wolf attacked him,the medicine woman help him get back on his feet.when he was walking in the hospital hallway he finally saw his grandmother.

I think the book was intresting but i had alot of questions that the book didnt answer.I would rate it like 3/5.i mean its solid.
