It violates the principles of Canadian democracy, the British monarch is symbolical of our past and our independence from Britain, and should be treated as such. Such an open system like this is prone to abuse, as seen in the first seen in 1926, in which it demonstrated that the Governor General was not the best choice in such a matter. That being said, instead of this ability, Canada should employ a more effective method of impeachment similar to other countries (most notably the United States) to deal with unconstitutional actions.
