I was asked to preform a short presentation about myself in front of the class as an icebreaker and as a way of speaking in front of the group to avoid feeling anxious in any future presentations. In my opinion I think I did well at having a clear voice. However I think I could improve at looking towards the people I was speaking to and being louder.

Doctors appointment

About a month ago I had to make a doctors appointment over the phone and attend the appointment on my own which involved speaking one on one to the doctor. I feel like I did well at explaining what my illness was and how I felt at the time, but I think I could have improved by being more confident and having eye contact with the doctor when I was speaking.

Enrolling to college

I had to explain my interest to the course I had chosen at college to multiple different people and I had to answer what I wanted my future career to be and how it linked to the course I was going to be completing. I think I did well at going into a large building on my own, not knowing anyone there and having to speak to strangers about my interests. In future I could improve by being more confident with my body language and how I presented myself.

Active Leaders Award

In Y10 I completed the active leaders programme which included completing 10 sessions with other girls in my year where we had to plan football activities together and work together to lead and arrange football competitions for primary schools. I feel like I did well at taking into consideration others ideas and we all had to work as a team to complete our roles when providing the sessions.

Football in PE

In secondary school I used to be the Captain of the football team so I had to encourage the other players and work with them to ensure everyone felt they were performing at their best ability and lead the team to success. Being part of the football team meant we all had to get along and work together in order to build new bonds. I feel like I did well as a captain as I always took into consideration others points and how they felt during a game.
