         <description><![CDATA[<div>Reacţia este similară celei care alimentează Soarele, eliberând mari cantităţi de energie în baza faimoasei ecuaţii a lui Einstein: E=mc². O mică parte din masă este pierdută când atomii de hidrogen se combină, acest proces eliberând vaste cantităţi de energie. Aşa cum menţionam în prima parte a acestui articol, practic cercetătorii vor ca în cadrul a doua proiecte de mare anvergură, (proiectele JET şi ITER) să reproducă pe Pământ procesul din Soare, devenind viitori „făcători de stele". Pentru a înţelege mai bine mecanismele şi detaliile acestor proiecte se cuvine să ne aplecăm puţin asupra posibilităţii practice de realizare a fuziunii nucleare controlate. Elementul de bază pentru reacţia de fuziune este atomul de hidrogen, care este format dintr-un nucleu încărcat pozitiv, în jurul căruia se roteşte un electron. Există şi un hidrogen de două ori mai mai greu - izotop al hidrogenului, cu denumirea de deuteriu - care are aceleaşi proprietăţi cu hidrogenul descris mai înainte, dar al cărui nucleu este alcătuit dintr-un proton şi un neutron, acesta din urmă fiind o particulă practic de aceeaşi greutate ca protonul, neutră din punct de vedere electric. Există şi un izotop şi mai greu al hidrogenului, denumit tritiu, care este radioactiv şi al cărui nucleu are un proton şi doi neutroni.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Reactoarele cu fuziune se bazează pe reacțiile care țin în viață stelele: atomii de hidrogen se ciocnesc la viteze atât de mari încât se contopesc și se transformă în heliu. Aceste ciocniri creează cantități imense de energie, reprezentând chiar acțiunea care are loc în nucleul Soarelui, în fiecare clipă.<br><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div>Electronii liberi sunt electroni care capătă energie din câmpuri electrice foarte puternice. În cazul fuziunii nucleare, vitezele acestor electroni, dar și sarcina electrică imensă pot avea rezultate catastrofale. Echipa a descoperit că electronii pot fi încetiniți prin injectarea de ioni grei, precum cei de neon sau de argon, în interiroul reactorului. Electronii se ciocnesc de acești atomi neutri, astfel că pierd din energie și din viteză.<br><br></div><div>Poate că acest pas pare unul mic în încercările de a stăpâni fuziunea nucleară, dar fiecare dintre progresele pe care le facem în această direcție ne aduc mai aproape de producerea acestui tip de energie pe planetă.<br><br></div>]]></description>

În timpul aruncării celor două bombe atomice, deși războiul din <a href="https://ro.wikipedia.org/wiki/Europa">Europa</a> se terminase prin capitularea necondiționată a <a href="https://ro.wikipedia.org/wiki/Germania">Germaniei</a>, <a href="https://ro.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japonia">Japonia</a> și <a href="https://ro.wikipedia.org/wiki/SUA">Statele Unite ale Americii</a> se aflau încă în stare de război. La <a href="https://ro.wikipedia.org/wiki/6_august">6 august</a> <a href="https://ro.wikipedia.org/wiki/1945">1945</a> bomba atomică cunoscută ca "<a href="https://ro.wikipedia.org/wiki/Little_Boy">Little Boy</a>" a fost aruncată deasupra orașului Hiroshima, iar trei zile mai târziu, la <a href="https://ro.wikipedia.org/wiki/9_august">9 august</a> <a href="https://ro.wikipedia.org/wiki/1945">1945</a>, cea de-a doua bombă atomică, cunoscută ca "<a href="https://ro.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fat_Man">Fat Man</a>", a fost detonată deasupra orașului <a href="https://ro.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nagasaki">Nagasaki</a>.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[unde la numitor avem raza de actiune a fortelor nucleare, de ordinul a 2 Fm. Pentru doua nuclee de hidrogen, Z=1,  E = 0.7 MeV. Fiecare nucleu trebuie sa aiba o energie de 0.35 MeV, care corespunde unei temperaturi de 2 miliarde de K pentru ca energia miscarii termice a gazului de atomi de hidrogen sa fie de 0.35 MeV. Totusi fuziunea nucleelor usoare poate avea loc si la temperaturi mai mici, deoarece in distributia de viteze a atomilor exista atomi cu energie mai mare decat media. De asemenea fuziunea poate decurge prin efect tunel la energii mult mai mici. Astfel, reactii de fuziune pot avea loc cu o intensitate considerabila si la 10 milioane de K.]]></description>
