This quote is perfect for my thesis because it shows one of the great ideas Ralph had as
a leader. Ralph was the reason the boys were ultimately saved because he wanted them
to make the fire and the fire helped them get found. This showed that Ralph was the

Ralph knew his roles as leader and made sure he was doing the best he could. Ralph is asserting his leadership as chief but he is not using his power for bad or for granted he is simply making a point to the other boys making sure they know he is the one in charge.
