The qualities that the main character had was curiosity. Him and his father wanted to know what was beyond the barrier of where they lived. So Daedalus built makeshift wings, so they could both fly over. He also told him where exactly to fly. But the idea of being able to fly got to Icarus's head, and he flew too close to the sun. Curiosity hindered with them.

Power definitely corrupted the main character because she finally felt like she got the attention from her soon to-be-husband she seeked as a child. But it was threatened when she knew he went to dance with some other girl. She was overwhelmed by anger, and jealousy that it motivated her to murder without a second thought.

A quality you could say the main character had was the ability to act quickly- subconsciously. The reader can assume her husband was seeing somebody else. He told her he was going to have someone look over her, but that he was leaving. Crazy suddenly overcame her thought process, and she killed him without feeling remorse.

Having power leads someone to corruption because it always gets to their head. Macbeth, and Lizzie are great examples who show the main characters thinking they have everything at their fingertips. Macbeth assumed he was to be king right away, but something got in his way. He later felt he could easily take down anything that comes to him. Lizzie also had everything she wanted with her fiancé. As soon as it was being threatened, she wasn't going to going to let it happen just like that. So she took matters into her own hands.

He thought he could do everything once the idea of having a lot of power got to his head. It was corrupting him because at first he was hesitant. And once his wife started belittling him, he felt bad and continued with the deed. Then the act hindered with his character because he felt unstoppable. But he also got paranoid, and that lead to his downfall.
