The main difference of vertebrates and intervertebrates is the presence of the back bone.

Vertebrates have a back bone or spinal fish. Examples include mammals,birds,reptiles,amphibians, and fish. And they usually have more complex structure and organ system. Humans and other mammals, fish, reptiles, amphibians and birds are vertebrates.

Intervertebrateon the on the other hand is a cold-blooded animal with no back bone. Invertebrates can live on land like insects,spiders,worms, or in water. marine intervertebrates like crustaceans (such as crabs and lobsters), mollusk (such as squids and calms), and coral.

Difference between vertebrates and invertebrates

The vertebrates have bones. while invertebrates don't have bones

Example of vertebrates are humans,frogs,birds,dogs,cats and lions

Example of invertebrates are snails,spiders,jellyfish,worms,starfish,mollusks and squids.

Vertebrates - Are animals that HAVE a backbone(spine),their body is supported by a skeleton (bones or cartilage).

Examples:Humans,Dogs,Cats,Fish,Birds

Intervebrates- Are animals that do NOT have a backbone have a hard outer shell (like crabs or snails),and some are soft-bodied (like worms or jellyfish).

Examples:Insects,Spiders,Crabs,Octapuses,worms
