Dench launched her acting career performing Shakespeare's plays, so it makes sense that she was spellbinding as the ambitious Lady Macbeth. She played opposite Ian McKellen in a Royal Shakespeare Company production of Macbeth in 1979, performed at The Other Place in Stratford-upon-Avon. The play is filmed against stark black backdrops on a circular stage, allowing the performances to take center stage.

Sian Thomas was also born to play Lady Macbeth. She has the right mixture of attack, sexiness and emotional drive. On top of that she stresses exactly the right words so that a line like "What thou wouldst highly, that wouldst thou holily" emerges with all its punning antitheses intact.

The performance that I found more interesting is the one directed by Rupert Goold. They did such a good job with directory and emotions when they shot it. The one by Dominic and Trevor I feel like it was a bit too much. It really didn't pull me in because I honestly don't like the quality the video is in and the way they acted. My favorite has to be the one by Rupert because it had so much emotions and the scenery. It really portrays how much Lady Macbeth's thoughts and emotions. To be honest I would love to watch this movie just from that snippet. The clip by Dominic seems and dressed like she was very crazy. Trevor's clip wasn't that bad I just really don't like the over extension in gestures and what they did. If I looked at this I wouldn't really think anybody would have done all of that.
