A social group I am a part of is being a college student specifically a SLCC student. I graduated high school in 2022 and started attending college in 2024. I waited 2 years just figuring out what I want before finally deciding to go back to school. I first started studying for graphic design but after 2 semester I decided to switch to dental Hygiene. Im just happy and excited that I have the support from my partner to help me through school.

Feminist

A cultural group I am a part of is being a feminist. Ever since I was young and just seeing the inequality especially coming from a Mexican family, I grew more and more into a feminist. This is something I’m very passionate and love learning more and more about and women’s history. I am always there to support another women and especially now its important for me to show and talk about this very important topic.

Cat Lover

I love cats it’s always been a thing about me. I have never spent more than a year of my life without owning a cat since my dad is also a cat lover we’ve always had one. Now that i am older and have my own place I have 2 very cute cats, my black cat I've had for 7 years and I got a grey one too that’s 3 years old. Im not really a dog lover they kinda annoy me and I think that’s cats deserve more love.

Chicana

I am a chicana, both my parents were born in Mexico they came here together when they were 20 and had me and my siblings here. I grew up with a lot of Mexican culture my first language was Spanish and I didn’t know about American food until I started eating at school. I love Mexican culture I have lots of manners is and characteristics that just show I am Mexican. It’s something I’m very loud and proud of especially seeing what my parents went through to get me where I am.

I love staying active and making sure I keep my body healthy. I believe we all need to take care of ourselves and try and eat healthy. When my mom got diabetes I started eating a lot healthier and started working out a lot more. I really enjoy going on hikes, walks and lifting weights.
