The book its not bad, it confuses me a little and sometimes there is just no explanations on why he does some things.

The last time I used to padlet to update on the book I wasn't introduced to 2 points of view/ stories. The second story was about Martha and where they captured her and who she was with. Since there are 2 stories, some are longer than others so I would read many chapters of Martha and only read 1 of Tennant's, so I don't get to see too much of Tennant.

I chose this image for the book because the book is about these kids trying to find the treasure that contains 40 million dollars of value. I read about 10 pages today from pages 30-40. Basically, what happened is that Candice went into an old basement and found a letter that her grandmother wrote to her about the treasure and that's what pretty much starts up the story. My reading life has been pretty good I guess, I've been finishing books quicker than in the past. I still only read when I'm at school.

Eventually, they got Sophie by distracting her with something and Martha inserted the syringe.

Why I chose this image: I chose this image because this a stressed or worn out face and this describes the character of my book perfectly because all the main character get is bad luck. Everything that happens to him turns out for the worst and he is tired of it. How many pages I read: I read about 10 pages today Summary: and it was basically about how the main character Greg is trying to shape this boy (Fregely) into his dream ideal friend because his previous friend (Rowley) before got a girlfriend and stopped hanging out with Greg. Thoughts: I don't like this idea because I feel like you shouldn't try to shape a person into being the ideal person you think they should be for you. Updates on my reading life: I finished Ghost boys by Jewell Parker Rhodes like last month, then I move on to another fiction book called the Twits by Roald Dahl and I finished that, now I'm reading the book I'm reading now, and when I'm finished with this book I will go back to Flipped by Wendelin Van Draanen, the book I was reading in the beginning of the year but I abandoned for Ghost Boys.

My image represents speaking up for yourself. Speak is about a girl who is left out by other people. In a party she gets raped and since has been scared to speak up for it. This is my favorite book this year becaouse it shows the struggles of minore around the world who go through this. I really liked the message and also the movie is my favorite so far. I've grown as a reader this year by reading more books every week and learning how to read faster every time.

I pick this image because it reflects how reading had me thinking about the story and analyzing what was gonna happen and what might be the problems contained on the story. This image also represents the book Front Desk by Kelly Yang, this was my favorite book because it was a really good book showing how realistic it is and being able to empathize with it. I have not read that much this year but it was more than i normally read so I'll say that this year i have grown a lot as a reader.

The picture above reflects my favorite book this year because it is a picture of black children, the book Lost Boys is all about a young black boy getting shot and there's a whole bunch of other black children over the world getting killed due to white supremacy and police brutality. And that is why Lost Boys was my favorite book this year because it really sheds light on racial division and the ugly truth of the world as a black girl or boy living in America today. I read 2 whole books this whole school year and I abandoned one in the beginning of the school year after reading half of it. I don't read other books daily except for the bible so this is a big accomplishment for me.
