         <description><![CDATA[<div>Consumption of folate or folic acids, usually in the polyglutamate form, includes the additional step of reduction to the tetrahydrofolate form prior to absorption. The enzymes in the gut then break down tetrahydrofolate, which is absorbed in a monoglutamate form.<br><br><br>Most of the folate within the body is stored in the liver. Some folate is  excreted in bile, though reabsorbed. Little folate is excreted in the urine, which is common for other B group vitamins.</div>]]></description>
