11.15am - 11.45am: HOVRS Activity

Pair Activity:

• Each pair will take one HOVRS scale, focus on the rows with 7 points (where relevant) and discuss:

• What actions or statements indicate that parents are “Keeping the Child in Mind”. (E.g. Parents following the child's lead during play, parents adapting activities to child's level) 

Collectively come up with reflective questions KSPs can use to help parents consider their child’s perspective.

• Share your current / past week’s emotional state using weather metaphor & actions

their child/children’s emotional regulation and in the other box, draw yourself.

Then proceed to identify the

temperament trait of the caregiver/s and yourself.

• All participants are to think of an action.

• When the leader points to you, all participants are to follow the actions.

• Leader will choose who will go next.

• How do feel when you were doing the activity?

1) What does this transition look like for the child/ caregiver?

2) What are some emotions the child/ caregiver may experience during this transition?

3) What are some common questions asked by caregivers about this transition?
