So far I like the beginning. I like the playwrights style of writing. It makes it easy to decipher what character is of importance and what character is not. The important characters rhymed their lines, the not important ones do not rhyme their words.

Romeo and Juliet are brought together in Capulet's mansion and Romeo not knowing who Juliet was kisses her. I believe this is the most important event so far because it is the beginning of rising action.

Romeo and Juliet Act 3

In act 3 the author used a lot of foreshadowing. In act 3 scene 5 line 57, Juliet states, "Either my eyesight fails, or thou look'st pale." This is showing that the author wanted to put the idea of something bad happening in the near future. I believe that the author chose these words because he wanted to hint at what was to come which is someone dying. He did this by having Juliet describe Romeo as pale

Romeo and Juliet conclusion

The play's conclusion is very effective. It is ironic because Romeo kills himself not knowing Juliet was still alive. She then wakes and kills herself. I believe the real message of the play is that nothing can stop true love, not even death. Students still read this work in high school because of all the writing styles used. The use of things like oxymorons, iambic pentameter and prose. I believe these things are important to learn about. I also think it is because it opens up the vocabulary more.
