The article answers a lot of questions people might have on the word, while the poem is a firsthand experience, which I think is a good follow-up. But at the same time, the poem uses feelings and experiences which are naturally more impactful. The rhyming connect the poem, but the story is one that some may connect to, but everyone can learn from. Words can change a life for better or for worse and this poem illustrates that beautifully.

It was also interesting in how hip hop had influenced both blacks and whites alike, and made them think that saying the n- word was okay between each other.
