I admire the warm and friendly feel from this website as a results of the colour pallet. The star shapes, hand drawn aspects and flower smileys add a nice fun element to the website as well as filling up some empty spaces. This website by Abi Lee Designs is a big inspiration to me as it's easy to navigate and is consistent in colour palette and hierarchy of type. It's also really friendly and with the small illustrations you really get a feel for Abi's personality and design style. My favourite thing about Made By James' website is the drawings turned animations, that are dotted around the site as well as the small stars that litter the pages and fill some empty space, I think the animations just add a little bit of movement which without I think it would be lacking that something extra that they give. The modern and minimalistic feel of this website makes it really clean and sleek. I love the bright colour palette and clean look of Abi's website, they're really fun pops of colour that flow through out consistently. The navigation is simple and easy and the main focus of the home page is the design services she offers and emphasis on her newsletter. Im not a fan of how this account is a sort of mish mash of personal and design work, and I think she could be a bit more experimental with her colour palette and maybe slowly transition through colours to add variety. Also I dont think the bio matches the energy that comes from her posts.

I feel the the posts are restricted to a square and they're too big, there needs to be some negative space around them, it makes the grid view look very busy and almost cluttered. In the bio she has her name written twice which takes up room for her to write more about her generally and means you would have to press 'more' which I think a lot of people would skip over.

As a card making business i'd expect a little bit more of a professional feel to this instagram, I understand that being fun and quirky might be a them as a brand but the feed lacks consistency but as they are quite a small company they could get away with being more personal and random.

All think is lacking from this instagram is maybe a more structured posting style, at the minute there can be 2-3 consecutive reels and then none for a while and its similar with products, patters/artwork and quote posts and it can feel quite chaotic. I also thing there are too many highlights sections at the top.

I acknowledge that all these designers and brands are individual and have their own styles and a lot of the time that is portrayed in their instagram and it works for them. This account is so pleasant, it's clean and organised with space around the work so it's not cluttered. The colours are consistent and on-brand and it overall has a cohesive feel. There is a structured mix of reels and regular posts that are in a pattern as you look at the grid.

I really admire the professionalism of this account, it still shows fun through the designs but it's strictly design only. There is an interesting mix of Moodboards, mock ups and brand introductions. The posts really show the  style and personality of the designer and its definitely an instagram of inspiration.

Again the personal style comes through in this instagram, and in carousel posts some of the images are presented in a fun and modern way instead of just image after image. There are consistent colour tones in the posts that give a minimal feel to the images (to which elements of the account such as bio match with no use of emojis just simple punctuation)  and some of them are small moments that are captured beautifully.
