Recently my family and I went to Melbourne for the weekend. We had Qantas credits so that narrowed down the airline we would use but then to get the most cost effective fight we had to look at leaving from different airports. We had a choice of flying Launceston - Melbourne, Devonport - Melbourne or Burnie - Melbourne. Then we had to incorporate the cost of fuel to travel to the different airports (Launceston being the furtherest away) and cost of parking while we were away. We ended up booking a flight from Launceston despite the cost of fuel to get there and back (it being 2 1/2 hours away from our home) and parking costs.
B.B.

1. A couple of years ago I was in the market for a new computer. I considered building one from the mainboard up but I had not dabbled in computer assembly for over a decade I didn't trust myself to recognise what made a good mainboard. I ended up pricing the components that would be needed to build a clone of a Lenovo that I was looking at from parts.

2. After doing so I found that it would be cheaper to buy the system from Lenovo than to build it from components under one condition. The minimum specification Lenovo machines were competitively priced but most components were upgradable and the upgrades were not competitive.

3. I ended up buying the Lenovo with the mainboard and processor that I wanted but with the graphics card, memory and solid state disk at the minimum possible specifications. I then upgraded those components and not only did I save several hundred dollars on the price that Lenovo would have charged me if I had had them ship with them but I was also left with a collection of original components that I then sold on on eBay.

Addendum

If you are in the market for a new Mac it's definitely worth looking at buying the minimum specs version and then maxing it out with generic parts. You will void your warranty by doing so but you can come out with a discount of as much as 40%.

In March my phone plan had expired and I had the option to select a new phone plan with a new phone. I began by selecting a new phone and then researched multiple providers that offer multiple phone plans to best select a phone plan with the best offering of services according to what I used most or required. I narrowed down my options to two providers which offered a similar allowance in services and then selected the phone plan with the most accommodating coverage in line with the ensuring I had the most adequate coverage for what I required in terms of streaming services, bonus offers and or mobile phone allowances. I also took into account the monthly cost to ensure I selected the most price effective option.

I weighed out the pros and cons with costs, what I wanted to get out of it and the camera quality. I was looking at the 11 pro max but decided that I didn't need to spend the extra money as it was unnecessary and I was on a budget.

What information did you collect?
I took into consideration the different types of hair extensions, for instance you can get real or fake hair extensions. This is an important decision based on weather or not you want to to be able to style your hair extensions with hot styling tools or not, also your price range needs to be accounted for when making this decision.
next is the many different styles of hair extensions, you have clip in, tape in, micro bead, wefts and many more. You also need to take into account how many you need and how many inches you want your extensions to be. There are many places to purchase hair extensions for example you have online stores such as, medusa hair extensions, Zala hair extensions, luxabelle hair extensions, Eden extensions and many more sites.

What data did you analyse?
to purchase real or fake hair extensions?
Weather or not I can afford it?
which type of hair extension is the best for me?
how many sets of extensions do I need/How many inches?
Where to purchase them from?

What conclusion did you draw?
I came to the conclusion that I needed to do some research of my own to find out which site was the best to purchase from, this involved reading reviews and comparing other sites to see which is the most reliable.
I came to the conclusion that the best site to purchase from was luxabelle hair extensions, because their reviews are reliable and luxabelle hair extensions are used in most salons around the world. The best type were real micro bead weft hair extensions, because they are perfect for fine hair, they can be styled like normal hair and they are in my price range.

Natasha. I had just moved states and waiting on my employment transfer I found it extremely hard to get a property.
I took into consideration looking for the bare minimum of what is going to suite me best.
I only needed a 1 bedroom with bathroom and a laundry. no pets or children made it easier but having no car was hard so public transport was a must had to be close or the location had to be close to shopping district or at least some sought of plaza. Then I had to look at pricing and budgets, because living single mean no sharing bills. My Safety and the area also came into account.
weigh all of the options up I went of the hunt and found a great Real estate that helped me and supported me with all my needs. I eventually found a cosey unit near town and a short walk to the university and its safe and quiet.

I'm a little late here! 2 years ago I had some maintenance issues with a long loved laptop and decided to finally make the change to a desktop PC. All I had to start were my laptop's storage drives.

What information did you collect?

I had to factor in price, performance, and travel time of any purchases as I was on a bit of a time crunch. I also had to factor in part size and how each piece would fit together to work properly.

What data did you analyse?

Much of the time the data was analysed in a waterfall fashion. First, comparing performance to make sure it would meet my requirements, and then moving to prices and retailers to find the most cost effective parts not only on a surface level but what could potentially be bundled together to be most money and time efficient.

What conclusion did you draw?

In eventuality, 3 retailers came together to provide the most cost effective delivery of the parts I needed. In some cases I needed to substitute for lesser named brands, but at ultimately no loss of quality and a cheaper delivery service. My PC came out to be quite high end without breaking the bank at around $1300, and it's still serving me well with no issues.

-ML (J)

What information did you collect?

I recently moved to a rural area, and was unable to connect to NBN or ADSL internet, so I needed to find a way to get internet and have a reasonable amount of data usage.

What data did I analyse?
I only had two options available, satellite or mobile internet. With the mobile data I had access to 500GB for the whole month. Where as the satellite had peak data of 60GB and 190GB for off-peak data.

What conclusion did you draw?

The point in having access to internet was to have as much data that was available, and that it had a strong connection as I have other household uses as well as studies. The most cost effective for me was the mobile internet and gave me peace of mind that I have more than enough data each month.

T.B

]

I’ve recently built my very first PC. Prior to this I had to do some research on the basics of computers, so I had a basic understanding of how a computer system should operate. Following this I did further research to understand the compatibility of different computer parts, and their price to performance. This process took 2 months for me to conclude that I was comfortable enough and competent enough in my knowledge to start the buying and building process of my very first PC.

- RK
