Citizen participation, though, is still important in environmental management, which makes democratization of geospatial technologies for the environment more challenging.

In my case, we’re assisting the residents of Sitio San Roque in assessing the 3 in-city sites proposed by the local government unit where the residents are proposed to be relocated. We’re in the process of gathering data on the accessibility of the sites from different social services. We also to plan to do fieldwork by commuting from the site to these different social services.
