This is a traveler favourite as they are much cheaper than competing airlines

Easyjet is a low cost airline compared to competitors making them a favorite budget airline alternative

They also some weaknesses with one of them being that their marketing and branding techniques are like other low cost airlines

An opportunity of easyjet is that they could take advantage of the younger generation who wish to travel but can't afford it

A potential threat to easyjet is that the recession has limited people spending money meaning they are becoming less likely to travel to save money

With easyjet having a low cost airline compared to its competitors making them a favourite budget airline during the cost of living crisis witch could result in an influx of customer increasing their marketshare however low costs are usually compared to low quality which could deter people resulting in bad brand reputation

The ressecion in the UK could have long term effects on the profitability of easyjets airline services as less people are able to afford to eat let alone travel the impacts of this could cause market to decrease in profitability however easyjet could prepare new deals to make traveling easier for struggling families who want to travel which could increase their consumer base

Their goal is to make low cost travel easy and connect people to what they love

Strength- strong brand recognition, recognisable clolours, this has helped to create their strong customer base.

Weakness- they have limited focus on premium services compared to competitors which could put potential customers off

Opportunity- expanding the range of places that they travel to such as more trips outside of europe

Threats- better competitor facilities, and a change of customer preferences such as prefering a more luxury experience

Having a strong brand recognition is great because it creates a sense of familiarity for customers which would increase the likelihood of them booking with easyjet.

However, this also means that it is easy to stick any negative reviews on the company and develop a bad reputation which would stick with the brand.

Overall having an easily recognisable brand such as easyjets orange and white is a good thing for customer loyalty however it does makes it hard for the company to hide from negative reviews/press.

Although competitors having better facilities, such as offering first class or business class, can be a downside for easy jet due to it downplaying the quality of their own services, a positive of this is that because easy jet do not offer these services they are able to offer cheaper travel, cheaper travel is much more sought after than luxury travel so the pool which easy jet has to draw their customers from is much bigger than competitors such as emirates who although offer high quality services they may not always sell all of their seats so overall they dont have to focus on advertising as much as bigger airlines as the ‘cheap’ label does most of the work for them.

Easy Jet are easily recognisable and their popularity means that people are encouraged to use them. The service is reliable which means people are more likely to fly with them again and again. However, due to their cheap flights they miss out on some of the market - some people may avoid them because they are considered cheap and therefore low quality. Easyjet has over 900 routes avaliable to destinations all across Europe for lower prices than the average airline.

Strength

One strength is of easyjet is that easy jet had very low operating costs. This means that EasyJet is able to offer customers cheaper prices making customers happy

A positive of having lower operating costs is that it can help EasyJet become more profitable as less revenue is taken away from the business from the operating costs.

A negative of having lower costs is that lower costs are associated with poorer quality products which may put new customers off traveling with easyJet

Overall, having lower operating costs helps easyjet with their overall profitability but this negative reputation may put newer customers off from trying easy jet

Weakness

One weakness is that EasyJet only focuses on designations within Europe. An increase in prices may deter customers from traveling with easyJet as the prices have Increased and they may find cheaper alternatives.

EasyJet are a low cost, budget airline, who specialise A to B flights with no additional stops midway. EasyJet are Europe's leading airline and operate over 1,000 routes across 35 different counties. They have over 320 aeroplanes under their brand that they operate. EasyJet use their efficiency at operating and their brand awareness in airports to deliver customers the lowest fares possible, as they believe it is important for Europe to stay connected via the skies and for people to be able to travel from place to place efficiently and at an affordable price.

Strength - Point to point model

This means that customers can easily get to their location and where they want to be without having to go though unnecessary midway stops. However, this could also be a disadvantage in some cases, as for longer flights, there won't be a break and it will be constant flying on a plane the entire time.

Weakness - Additional baggage fees

Customers that take more luggage will have to pay more just to be able to fit all of their baggage on the plane. However, this could also be seen as a good thing to EasyJet, as it encourages customers to bring less amounts of baggage, meaning unnecessary items are left out and more space is free on the plane.

Opportunity - Growing demand foe sustainable travel

This allows the aviation industry to become more environmentally friendly, for example having less carbon emissions, less waste and so on. However, this could also lead to less efficiency in some aspects which could cause customers to turn away from the airline.

Threat - Fuel prices changing

This means it will be harder to keep jets running as it will cost more and more for each plane to take customers to their destination. However, this could be seen as a good thing to the company as it will force EasyJet to be more sustainable with how much fuel they are using and also how much money they are spending in other areas, making them become more efficient with their spending.

Founded in 1995, EasyJet are a low cost, multi national airline. They are based at London Luton airport and fligh around 900 different routes to 34 different countries. EasyJet profited( before tax) around £145 million in 2023.

Strength - easyJet are popular amongst people who travel a lot as they have lower prices than most other airlines such as Emirates and TUI.

This is great for easyjet as they have a wide range of customers that are repeating purchasers, meaning that they have a constant income as well as they could be recognised by business that want to send workers on business trips for a cheaper price. However, this could also be a bad thing as low prices are stereotypically grouped will low quality, which means potential customers way think they have a worse quality in there flights.

This could cause a rise in nomey coming into the business as new customers recognise easyJets low price that come with a quality similar to TUI.

Weakness - easyJet flights are not as luxurious as as some of there competition

Opportunity - easyJet could work on providing flights to other areas of the world outside of Europe such as America and Asia

Threat - easyJet have a high amount of competition that have a wider range of countries that fly to

This could cause easyJet issues in the near future because of the small gap in the world that they fly in. Other airlines, such as TUI fly all around the world. This, in the future, could push them down to the bottom of the airline food chain, causing them to loose customers to airlines that provide flights to all 4 corners of the world. Easy jet may need to push reinvest more of there profit so that they can buy more aircraft that will provide flights outside of Europe and bring them back up to level with there competition. However, they need to be careful when prices these longer flights as that may loose track of their low flight costs pricing strategy

Strength: wide range of distribution for example 150 destination in 36 countries.Weakness: limited focus on premiums for example not offering business class service.Opportunity:Expand to Asian countries. Threat: consumer preferences are changing day by day. Asses and evaluate: wide range of distribution of distribution, 150 destination in 36 countries positive of this is Easy Jet can better focus on providing best customer service, which means customers are coming back to them when ever they needed to travel which imapct on business is positive because will higher sales and growth and positive word of mouth will be created. However, the negative about this strenghth is that they will have less customer which impact sales and growth of Easy Jet and may fail to provide best customer service. Threat asess and evaluate : consumer preferences are changing its threat for easy Jet because customers want comfortable seating, flight meals, customers all want is they provide best customer service by offering premiums like others flights do like Emirates they can provide business class service for the comfortability of customers.

EasyJet is a multinational airline group which was founded in Britain. The British airline group travel over 927 different routes in more than 34 different countries. EasyJet has a 42% year on year rise within their total revenue which results to them gaining £8.2 Billion in their total revenue. EasyJet is known for its low cost flights.

Strengths: EasyJet is a low cost airline group which means they attract more customers due to being cost effective. This is a strength for the company as it gives them a good brand recognition due to catering for customers wanting to travel on a low budget. However, some people may see this as a negative as people may associate low costs with low quality service. This could impact EasyJet as it could decrease the amount of potential customers they may receive. Having low costs results in strong brand recognition which is positive for the airline as more people will fly with them due to them being a reliable airline service. However, EasyJet then need to ensure that they keep the good brand image as if one little issue occurs it could reduce their good brand image and damage it for the future and due to EasyJet being an airline it can be very hard to then build back up their brand image as people will always have the negatives in the back of their mind.

Weakness: EasyJet are dependant on the European market which makes it vulnerable to economic and political developments.

Opportunities: EasyJet are able to have many digital transformations which include airline apps and they also are able to streamline new technology to streamline check in.

Threats: EasyJet have many external risks which include: Currency fluctuations, Fuel price volatility and natural disasters.

EasyJet have many external risks which impacts them as an airline massively. The main threats that EasyJet may suffer from is money. This id through not only the price of the jet fuel but also the currency fluctuations. These impact EasyJet because it’s a low cost airline group which means they may not make as much profit as they would if they charged more for their flights like many other airlines. EasyJet are then suffering from their low prices as they are then needing to worry about the prices of fuel and currency’s from the countries they fly to fluctuating. This can be a great threat as if they do not have enough profit to keep up with these prices fluctuating and becoming more expensive for them as a business then they may have to increase their prices which would not only decrease their loyal customers due to them choosing EasyJet for their low prices but they may also loose their good brand image as they are well known for having low costs for their flights.

There are 336 aircraft’s that operate.

Strengths- revenue boosted by 42% year on year , increase of £8.2 billion

Weakness- limited services so not many premium services can lead to not hitting some customers with a higher income

Opportunity- creating more premium services but still keep their normal cheap, maybe a cheaper premium service with limited to how much is offered in it.

Threats- economic down turns can affect if customers choose to go on holiday at all meaning they will loose out on customers.

With easy jet having a large revenue increase over years this means that there is more room for expansion of the business. The business is able to spend money on more planes and increase the number of countries it enters. This can increase the number of people using the airline since there are more options for low cost flights to other countries. They could also spend money on creating a more expensive service for premium customers to open the door for those who want to spend more money on a better service from an easy jet flight.

Economic down turns can happen at any time unexpectedly so easy jet is always at threat of loosing profit if this happens. If it does happen customers are less likely to book holidays since it is a privilege to go on holiday especially for those going for the cheaper options, which are mainly those flying with easy jet. Easy jet would be the most impacted due to it being a low costing service. Leading to a decrease in customers and profit made by easy jet.

For starters, Easy Jet is a European airline company that dominates the continent, possessing over 300 global transport aircraft and employing over 12000 staff total (including pilots and cabin crew). Easy Jet use a Point-To-Point model, thus meaning flights are constanly running between cities to reduce cost and travel time for passengers.

Strengths:

Easy Jet relies on a single aircraft type, thus heavily reducing maintainence and logistical costs/issues for their aircraft, allowing them to use their income to advertise or improve service.

EJ is well recognised by customers due to its orange and white colour scheme, helping build up a loyal customer foundation to maintain profits.

Weakness:

They do not offer premium services.

Opportunities:

Global expansion.

Threats:

Similiar to other brands.

Assess The Strength:

Single airliner option - Reduced maintainence, fuel and logistical costs.

Easy Jet is known to only offer Airbus liners for their passengers to travel aboard. This is a benefitial strength as it ensures that costs for fuel and repairs are minimum.

Keeping costs low is a significant aim for many businesses, especially airline companies, as this ensures they are able to purchase more aircraft to widen their air-wing, while also being able to fuel their aircraft and maintain safety during flight.

Assess The Weakness:

Lack of premium services - Lack of high end interest.

One thing Easy Jet fails to deliver is any form of premium service, such as first class seating. This would reduce their customer variety and reduce income from upper class citizens looking to fly.

The reason for this is that Easy Jet targets an audience that lacks the proper finance for such services, which somewhat hinders their potential profits, leading to a threat of a slowly reducing customer base as more people seek more luxurious alternatives.

EasyJet is Europe's leading airline founded in 1995 with over 16,000 workers including 4,000 pilots and over 8,000 cabin crew in 155 airports. EasyJet does operates over 1,000 routes over 36 countries like Tokyo, New York and Mexico. They value working together to do the right thing for customers and to keep everyone safe while flying in a no chaotic way.

• Strengths of EasyJet:

They are a low cost business model which offer affordable flights to a wide range of travellers. This is a positive as helps the airline attract a greater customer base, definitely consumers who are looking for lower costs.

• Weaknesses of EasyJet:

As a business EasyJet has external exposure risks to fuel prices as currency exchange rates have risen and a lot of weather disruptions. Due to these risks EasyJet has a possibility of impact on their probability.

• Opportunities of EasyJet:

Expanding into new markets, EasyJet have the opportunity to expand into new markets out of Europe and diverse into Asia and America. This could help EasyJet to reduce its independence on the European market.

• Threats of EasyJet

Having increased competition from other traditional and low cost airlines. This pressures the business to higher pricing and reduction in market share.

EasyJet is known to be a low cost business allowing their customer base to widen. This is good because the company's consumers are always keeping an eye on deals and discounts. However, from a potential customer's point of view there is a chance that they think EasyJet jet is a low quality airline because of its low costs. This impacts the business as they are showing customers that their company is cheap. Having these low costs do target people who travel for leisure and for business.

Having external exposure risks on fuel prices is negative due to the probability of EasyJet’s pricing having to go up which can lead to their customers branching off to competitors, leaving EasyJet with a smaller market.

The impact of having a decrease in customers shows the business a risk of lower probability.

Easy jet is a leading european airline that has a fleet of over 320 aircraft’s and flies to more than 35 countries. They are a budget airline and operate 1024 routes and are based in 155 airports.

Easy jet are committed to sustainability and aim to be net zero carbon by 2030.

They are massively exposed to external risks like fuel prices, exchange rates, and disruptions with the weather.

One positive of easyjet being so committed to their sustainability is that it will draw in more customers who want to help the environment. With these extra customers, there will be more revenue being generated for the company, and this means that the business will have more profit over the year which they can then use to expand as a business whether that means more aircrafts or more destinations. However, one negative could be that because of them changing all of their aircraft’s to be more environmentally friendly, the reliability could be lost as they are not the same aircrafts and are running on something other than fuel. This could make customers nervous of trying something new and may be discouraged from flying with them which could lose the business a lot of money and market share.

A threat for easyjet could be economic downturns like recessions. A negative of this could be how many people may not go on holiday during it because of the high prices of their bills that they have to pay which would make easyjet lose a lot of customers and a lot of money. On the other hand, if easyjet lowered their prices during this time, many customers would appreciate it very much and would build a relationship with the company which means trust is established and when the recession is over and prices are back to normal, easyjet will have more regular customers than they did before and will be making a lot more revenue.

Therefore, it’s a great option to book in with easy jet for cheaper flights whilst receiving high classed customer service.

One strengths of easyJet is that they have affordable prices to pay. Positive for this would be that it is affordable to pay for customers and still receive the same customer service as the other competitors. The impact of this would be inflex of customers which could increase profit into the business. However, since it’s low cost some customers may think that the quality and service would price match with the cost it has been set in the business.

Strength- low cost business model, strong brand recognition

Weakness- limited brand differentiation

Opportunities-expanding into new markets

Threats-staff shortages

Strength- Easy jet has strong brand recognition, this benefits the company massively as people talking about it brings more and more attention towards them. This is useful because it means more potential customers.

Weakness- Limited brand differentiation could possibly become a bigger issue then it currently is. The fact that easy jet does not have many differences compared against other airline companies means that many potential customers could easily fly with another airline due to there not being anything specifically they choose easy jet for.

Opportunities- Easy jet have a large space for opportunities to arise. They could easily expand into new markets and areas to gain more custom. Having a bigger variety for people to choose from is a huge positive.

Threats- Easy jet currently are facing an issue with staff shortages. This may effect the brand representation because if people hear that nobody wants to work for them it could potentially stop other people from applying for a job with the airline.

Strengths- 7% market share, growing market, this means that the demand for the airline services is growing causing an influx of customers and people who want to travel this has caused a rapid growth in profits and the amount of plane travel this can lead to lower prices however increased plane travel has also lead to the cost of fuel to rise, meaning that the air travel might be restricted by the amount of planes that can go out.

Weaknesses- lots of competitors

Opportunity- the low prices means they might be able to out compete their competitors, they could expand into several different countries as they only operate in 36 countries so far.

Threats- rising fuel crisis is causing costs to increase this can lead to an increase in the prices leading to a decrease in reputation as a cheap airline company, as a result of this the company will suffer with lower sales and customers will find better alternatives as easyJet is not a large company.
