      <description>A Fort Lauderdale-based therapist, Bency Alphonse prepared for his career by earning a bachelor&#39;s degree in psychology from Brooklyn College in 2009. The following year, Bency Alphonse enrolled in graduate studies at Albizu University, where he graduated with a master&#39;s in clinical psychology with a concentration in health psychology.

Bency Alphonse is a per diem therapist at Fort-Lauderdale Behavioral Health Center. In this role, he provides psychological care and services for children and adolescents as well as geriatric units. For instance, he leads group psychotherapy and alternative interventions on a daily basis. He also provides individual counseling, and his focus areas include medical detox and rehabilitation.

Mr. Alphonse has also served as a therapist and case manager at Camelot Community Care. At Camelot, he furnished in-home family therapy services to families with teenagers and children, implementing the Functional Family Therapy approach.

In addition to these pursuits, he donates his time and financial resources to the nonprofit INIACAP organization, which furnishes support to families in Haiti’s northern communities. He also provides interpretation services as a Level 3 French interpreter.
