One cannot underestimate the value of a 'fresh pair of eyes', a 'critical friend' or the 'show and tell' that accreditation visits offer schools and to be a key part in that process is a great privilege. I value the opportunity to see how other schools function, getting to know the students, faculty, staff, parents and administrators, being part of a team/organization that has at its core a mandate to help schools in their self-improvement journey, working with my team members (and often forming long term connections), and much more. I always come away from each visit exhausted, but so grateful for the experience.

You also get to reflect, with the school, about their aspirational journey. An imagined future and you can help them chart or articulate the first steps to get there.
