4. Challenges I have run into are keeping the materials from blending too much. When bright and dark colored liquids would combine they would mix and become brown or black and mess up that part of the piece. 

5. Some goals for me to work on are making my pencil drawings more realistic. I could do this by working on shading and using dark and light spots. 

6. I would like to work on sculpting. 4.I have to pay more attention to detail when I'm drawing. My goals are to make most or all of my drawings incorporate the most detail I can put instead of overseeing them.

I enjoyed working with the water colors because I love the way they look. 

Even though the hand was my favorite project It was the hardest. I struggled with thinking of ideas for how to place my hands.

I need to focus more on little details and not just rushing through like I do.

What was your favorite project and why?
-I really enjoyed drawing based on observation, especially the hand composition. I liked the hand composition because we had complete control over where we put our hands and what colors we used. Alao, I think that I became alot  better at drawing hands after this project.

What materials have you enjoyed working with? Why?
- I have enjoyed working with the ebony pencils. I like using them because I can expirememt with shading. I also enjoyed oil pastels because they give good texture and have vibrant colors.

What challenges have you run into? Have you overcome them at all and how? 
- One problem that I have run into is making my drawings look 3-dimensional. I am working on utilizing shading to make objects look more lifelike and 3-D. I have overcome this challenge by practicing alot  more with ebony pencils. 


What do you think you need to improve on? What are some goals for you to work on in art? 
- I need to improve on using more materials in my drawings. I need to try to incorporate more than two materials in every piece.


What would you like to work on in the future? 
- I would like to work on drawing faces and humans, because I feel like I am not great at drawing all of the features of the face yet. I enjoyed using the carcaol chalk pieces. They were fun to use because it was rich in its darkness if that makes sense.  Even though it got on my fingers I really liked using them.
What challenges have you run into?  Have you overcome them?  I faced many challenges one of them was drawing what I pictured in my head.  I have not overcome that because it is very hard.
What do you need to improve on?  Why are some goals? 
I need to improve on shapes and how the are shaded to make them look like the shape I am aiming for.  For instance, making something round is something I am not good at and I would like to get better.

- Besides the bamboo pen, I really liked to work with water color. I liked the way that it blended with different colors. Also, water color was easy to spread around
- I have ran into many challenges with my hand drawings. I would constantly make my hands and fingers to lumpy. To over come this obstacle, I really focused on my actually hand to make my drawn hand better. This technique allowed me to get better and overcome this obstacle.
- In art, I think I need to work on talking less with my friends. Other goals that I can improve on, are going out of my way to help people clean up. 
- In the future, I think that it would be cool if we could do sculptures. It would fun to work with a 3D object. i enjoyed making my self portrait because it really helped me learn how to shade and perceive light.

What materials did you enjoy the most working with or become most familiar with? 

i enjoyed the charcoal materials because they were fun to use even though they got my hands dirty. 

If you had to teach ART 1 next year, what would you keep and what would you add? 

i would keep the games and add more open studio time because it would give us more time to find ourselves. 

What did you take away from this class? 

i learned how to shade :)

I enjoyed doing weaving a lot. I found it fun and a cool way to create art. My favorite weave was the orange and blue one where I experimented with different techniques to make the orange and blue look intertwined

2. I would keep the free of open studio time. I thought that it was very relaxing and fun. One thing that I would add is sculpting. I feel like using clay would be a very fun experience and would be new to work with 3-d.
