In the Behaviorist view, the linguistic environment is seen as a determining factor, in this thought, the input is understood as the language available to the learner in the form of  stimulus, so that each stimulus is adequate to the level of difficulty that the student achieved, then the acquisition process happens outside the learner.

As it is a social phenomenon, interaction also plays a fundamental role in Second Language Acquisition, so the internationalist view is the most accepted, because see the importance organic and environmental issues, therefore differing from the Behaviorist view that saw the process of acquisition as passive, since the student was a mere receiver.
