         <description><![CDATA[<div>My biggest "a-ha" was waiting to do an All School Assembly until the classroom and hallway expectations were  established. As they said, doing a school assembly on the first day can set up classroom teachers for failure if your expectations are not clear. The classroom teachers have to then re-do the bad habits that the students learned in the assembly.</div>]]></description>

Students know when you&#39;re watching and they do much better when you give them a direction (teach) and then WATCH them do it. Example: &#39;please sit down quietly&#39;, then watch them do it quietly, don&#39;t change something on the smartboard or walk to the counter to pick up a supply or paper.</title>
