This reminds me of the time I was on a high elements course and for the next step I had to let go of a rope and make a jump. I remember everyone on the ground yelling at me to let go and make the jump. However, I was too scared and held on tightly to my rope, not wanting to let go, just like the character in the story who was holding on tightly to the branch.

Reminds me of my son who has a fear of heights. When we were going around to view houses, any units higher than 7 floors, he will not be standing near the balcony. Once he tried looking out of a 17th floor balcony, he collapsed onto the floor with jelly legs and declared "no" to that particular unit. (Text-to-self)

I remembered when I was younger, I bravely went on the roller coaster. After all the screaming and hanging on to dear life, the ride ended. What a relief! But when I got out of the carriage I couldn’t feel my legs, they were super wobbly and I couldn’t walk and had to stop and hold on to the railings and catch my breath and find my legs! After walking away, then I saw the warning sign about those with heart problems should not be taking the ride! Thank God nothing serious happened 🤦‍♀️
