         <description><![CDATA[<p>I do a few things:</p><p><br/></p><ol><li><p>(at the beginning of a unit) guiding questions--pre assessment of concepts GOING to learn in the unit (form of "discussion" questions); students have to ask a certain number of people and record their answers</p></li><li><p>(sometimes) a partner share about either questions in a reading or PREVIEW questions before a writing assignment</p></li></ol>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>When I start class, I always start with what we learned the previous day as a warm-up. </p><p>I have discussion questions. </p><p><br/></p><p>or we look at a comic and I ask the students to tell me what is going on. </p><p>I introduce the topic or grammar. Then I use the book for practice.</p><p>I get them to question or practice conversations in pairs or read together and answer comprehension questions.</p><p>I sometimes include group projects and role play. </p><p><br/></p><p>I use mini board games for review questions ( in groups).</p>]]></description>
