For the past semester I have learnt so much in Caribbean civilization. I really taught at the beginning of the semester that its history all over again that I strongly dislike, but Caribbean civilization taught me a whole different approach to study the Caribbean. I learn so much more than I ever knew before. It was an unfordable journey. At some points in the semester I felt helpless I taught to my self that I am going to fail this course, I could not get work and assignments completed in time but still I pull through the semester with the flexible time frame our lectures set. I must say at this point thank you to our lectures for being understanding and cooperative with us.

Gender inequality have always been a major problem

gender inequality have played a major part of our Caribbean society from slavery to date. This have never evolved and still remains to be an issue that we are currently facing. woman were always outnumbered in the days of plantation whereby there was more males than females. Females were not hired to work in the plantations and they were classified as prostitute, widows and run away. they were only looked at as a reproduction system and also a house wives. women could not do the work of a male, they were not given the opportunity. in todays society women is also treated unequal. For instant woman does not get to be leaders because men is more classified as superior and being leaders thus in todays society woman cannot be leaders. Also women cannot be given the opportunity to perform a job of a man for example auto mechanic, welding, electrician. The International monetary fund as in the video is working together to reduce gender inequality and to empower women as seen in the video above.
