Students will choose a historical hero who demonstrated self control when fighting for what they believe in. After students have chosen their hero, they will create a storyboard about the character, their life, and how they changed the world through peaceful, nonviolent acts. Students will also be asked to dress up like the hero when they present their project. After hearing and “seeing” all the historical figures as a class we will brainstorm how we can use them and their practices of self control to impact our own school and community.
