1. Even though Rory thought that wearing make-up will the dream-come-true for her, (Making her look more beautiful) she had an allergic reaction towards the natural make-up and her face started turning red and itchy. This shows how thinking out of the box, (not wearing makeup while listening to her mom's warnings) is a thought out of the box while also being the correct answer.

2. When Rory tried wearing contact lenses, (Thinking that she will look better without glasses) she had scratched her eye with the contact lenses while taking it out. Therefore she started crying from pain and her eyes was all red, causing her to wear an eye patch. (More humiliating) This shows how thinking out of the box, wearing glasses instead of wearing contact lenses, listen to her mom is a thought out of the box in Rory's mind, but it turns out to be a real answer.

Jeremy Fink and the Meaning of Life
1. After Jeremy asked lots of people while doing the community service, everyone had a different meaning for their life. Even though Jeremy thought that there was only one answer for the Meaning of Life in his dad's box, it turned out that the true Meaning of life was different for everyone. This shows how thinking out of the box, thinking of different answers for the Meaning of Life rather than thinking that there is only one Meaning of Life for everyone can be the true answer while being a thought out of the box.

2. After Jeremy found the keys and tried to open the box, Jeremy thought there would be something valuable in money. However, the box was full of rocks from places where his dad went in his childhood and a note for Jeremy when Jeremy was 8 years old. This shows how thinking out of the box, thinking of more meaningful items in the box rather items that give money, there is a more valuable item with more meaning which can be thought if Jeremy thinks out of the box.   • Both books contain a lot of dialogue
    • (Both books are first-person points of view, so it contains a lot of dialogue and description for the character of the book)
    From the readers perspective, I liked how the author did this because this helps the story be more interesting because it makes the story feel more realistic towards the reader.
    • Both stories include a lot of thoughts & Dialogue of characters before they go to actions
    (Explains what they are going to do and why they are going to do it)
    From the readers perspective,I didn't really like how the author talked about their thoughts and dialogue before they go to action because it ruins my excitement for the next action. Even though the readers are really excited about the action, the explanation is disturbing our thrill.

  • Both Books have a first-person perspective for the entire novel
    • From the readers perspective, I liked this because it makes the story feel much more realistic. This makes me feel like I am watching movie in my head rather than actually reading
    • Both books are based on teenagers that have a great change after their birthday
    From the readers perspective, this makes the story more interesting for me as a student. This is because I can relate a lot to these characters since I am in a similar age to the main characters.
    • Happy Endings
    From the readers perspective, I like how the author ends the story happily so the reader feels happier and the reader feels more relieved after they finish the book. (Especially in Jeremy Fink and the Meaning of Life since it has a lot of suspense)
    • Twist Endings 
    From the readers perspective,I didn't really enjoy the twist endings because this made me feel confused about the book. Even though I was relieved about the happy ending of the book, I was a little confused at the first part of the ending.

Since Finally 12 and Jeremy Fink and the Meaning of life are both the first-person point of views, the author uses a lot of explanation and thoughts of Jeremy and Rory so we could easily notice that the story is through Jeremy and Rory's eyes.
