Science:
We will:follow steps in the experiment “Balancing Egg” to observe how to

balance an egg on a hard surface.

I will observe how an egg can balance on a hard surface made of salt crystals!

We will-perform the story “The Mouse and the Apple” in groups and use our voice to depict characters from text.

I will- echo the story “The Mouse and the Apple” after it is read, and I will echo a character to the class.

Math:
We will-use different sizes of construction paper and decide if they are long or short or the same size. We will record our answers on a chart.

I will- decide if my piece of construction paper is long, short or the same size and draw a picture of something long and short.

I will- organize the nursery rhymes in a chart and pick my favorite story with my friends and teacher.
Science:
We will:follow steps in the experiment “Walking on Eggs” to observe how forces

can be spread out and how strong shapes like an egg can be.
I will observe and predict what happens to a dozen eggs when we get on top of them with our feet.

We will-use a balance scale, a collection of objects (blocks, rocks, cars, pencils, markers, artificial fruits and predict  

their order from lightest to heaviest and record  our answers.

 I will- predict to decide which collection of objects is lightest or heaviest and record my answers with my teacher and friends.

I will- retell the nursery rhyme “Jack Be Nimble”. Also, I will count the words in the story and play a game: “Jump Over the Limbo Stick” using my name and the names of my friends.

We will:follow steps in the experiment “Egg Drop” to observe an egg drop into a glass of water.

I will observe and predict what happens to an egg when it is dropped into a glass of water with force.

I will- retell the story and change the nursery rhyme “Hickory, Dickory, Dock” with the letter “B” at the beginning of each line with my teacher and friends.

We will:follow steps in the experiment “Egg Suction” to observe how a hard- boiled egg that has been very carefully shelled can be used to demonstrate atmospheric pressure.

I will observe how an egg can be sucked into the neck of a bottle.

I will- echo the story “The Mouse and the Apple” after it is read aloud, and teacher will pick a character for me echo.

Math:
We will- play a game together called, “Ride the Bus”. If we want to get on the bus, we need to know and learn opposite words.

I will- share and learn new opposite words while playing the game, “Ride the Bus”. Also, I get to draw pictures of opposite words I have learned. 

I will- retell the nursery rhyme “Twinkle, Twinkle” after it is read aloud and think of words that rhyme with the word “star” from the story to share with my teacher and friends. 

Science:
We will:follow steps in the experiment “Floating Egg” and observe that light things float

on the surface of water while heavy things sink to the bottom.                 

I will observe and predict what happens to an egg when put into saltwater.

I will- listen to the story “The Mouse and the Apple” after it is read aloud and pay attention to the characters in the story.
